Commercial grade UV fused silica is for less demanding applications but with good UV transmission and thermal properties.
The material is melted by synthetic CVD and is virtually fluorescence free (Ex 254nm). The UV fused silica material grade can be economically produced in small sizes to larger UV fused silica polished sheets. For larger size requirements of plates and windows commercial grade is particularly suited to this material and usefully for protection windows, scanner plates and UV-C, UV-B applications.
